About

Hi. My name is Soren Staudinger and I have been riding since 2015 when I finally persuaded my mum and dad to get me a motorbike for my 6th birthday.

My first bike was a Honda CRF50 but after a couple of months I needed something faster and was upgraded to a KTM 50SX. I did a kickstart course and started racing at Appin (NSW), Young (NSW) and Canberra (ACT) in Nippers and really enjoyed it so moved up to 50cc Div 2 in 2016.

My family moved from Australia to New Zealand in early 2017 and I started racing Mini Motorcross  across Auckland and Waikato. I took part in club championships at Pukekohe, Tokoroa, Taupo, Cambridge, Rotorua, North Harbour, and Tauranga and competed in some one day events: King of the North (1st – 6-8 yr 50cc), Rotorua Interschools (1st – 6-8 yr 50cc), SandPrix (2nd – 6-8 yr 50cc), Auckland Champs (2nd 7-8 yr 65cc).

I moved into “Pro65” after bypassing riding 65cc on mini track, and enjoyed the challenges of racing on big track again like in Australia. My Pro65 time was pretty successful with Top 5 finishes at Tauranga, Taupo, Tokoroa, Cambridge, Harrisville and one day events – Valley Champs, BOP Schools, Waikato Champs, King of the Mountain and Sand Prix.

In 2019 I was offered sponsorship by Kawasaki NZ and was racing the KX85 and later the KX112 after a moto trip the  USA in 2022. It was a great experience to see what else is out there and I am putting in the work to get back there with every ride.

My family moved back to Australia in mid-2023 and I am now NSW based. Thanks to the support of KTM Newcastle I have moved into the 125 class on a Gas Gas MC125.
